The campaign “Thanks to the Forest,” made for 4 danish organ- isations that work with timber and forest, and it focuses on all the things the forest contributes to nature, the individual, and society. For instance, forest products play an important role in our society, particularly when we seek to reduce CO2 emissions in construction by replacing high-carbon materials with alter- natives made from wood. Wood is durable, recyclable, and has a lower CO2 footprint. Moreover, the forest is crucial for achiev- ing Denmark’s climate goals because it helps combat climate change by absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere, which is stored in the wood, even when the wood is felled and used for products outside the forest.
